This series is designed to hone your skills on each component of the trial process with practice pointers and advocacy tips from experienced trial lawyers. Get all of your annually required CLE credits, including 1 hour of ethics, at the one hour luncheon CLEs held at the IndyBar. This is a great opportunity to network with litigators and judges!

Attendees can also register for individual sessions rather than the full series by browsing through the IndyBar Event Calendar and selecting the chosen seminar for online registration. The price for individual sessions is $45 per seminar for members/$90 for non-members.
2012 Litigation Skills Series: all sessions will take place at the IndyBar Education Center and include 1.0 General Credit, unless otherwise noted.
February 8: Ethics--Join us for the first session in the 2012 Litigation Skills Series, where we’ll address common ethical pitfalls and redflags for litigators.This session will be held at the M&I Plaza Conference Center (135 N. Pennsylvania, Second Floor). Includes 1.0 Ethics Credit.

March 14: Pleadings--This program will address effective drafting of complaints and answers as well as striking affirmative defenses.
April 11: Pre-Trial Motions Practice--Don’t miss the third session in the 2012 Litigation Skills Series, which will address pre-trial motions practice and motions to dismiss.
May 9: Discovery--The fourth session of the 2012 Litigation Skills Series will provide attendees with an overview of written discovery, including the discoverability of social networking.
August 8: Depositions--This seminar will cover the nuances of taking and defending depositions. The speakers will draw upon their litigation experience and offer practical suggestions and strategies.
September 12: Expert Witnesses--This session of the 2012 Litigation Skills Series will cover the selection and development of expert witnesses.
October 10: Alternative Dispute Resolution--Litigators will learn about mediation strategies and negotiation tactics in this session, including a discussion of recent developments in arbitration
November 14: Judges Roundtable--Interactive panel of judges discuss the latest trends in litigation and commonly encountered problems
