Don’t miss the six luncheon CLEs in the 2012 Family Law Practical Application Series! This series is an ideal opportunity for family law rookies and veterans alike to learn new skills and polish old ones. Get all of your annually required CLE credits, including 1 hour of ethics, at the one hour luncheon CLEs held at the IndyBar. This is a great opportunity to network with both attorneys and judges!

Plan ahead and register for the entire series by January 26 and enjoy a discount of $60! Not sure if you can attend every session? Register for the full series and send a substitute in your place if a conflict arises!

Attendees can also register for individual sessions rather than the full series by browsing through the IndyBar Event Calendar and selecting the chosen seminar for online registration. The price for individual sessions is $45 per seminar for members/$90 for non-members.

2012 Family Law Practical Application Series: all sessions will take place at the IndyBar Education Center and include 1.0 General Credit, unless otherwise noted.

Successful Start to Your Domestic Relations Case—This seminar will focus on the best methods for interviewing potential clients, screening cases or determining if a case/client is right for your practice and creating ethicaland enforceable fee agreements. (Includes 1 hour ethics credit)

Discovery 101—This seminar will provide you with the tools that you need to efficiently gather and obtain the information you need to prepare and try your family law case. Family Law Section Open Meeting to be held immediately prior from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

May 10
Informal Resolution and ADR—The majority of family law cases are resolved without a trial. Come learn the skills you need to help prepare both yourself and your client to resolve your case by agreement.

July 12
Preparing Your Trial—Attend this seminar and get practical tips on how to prepare for trial, including preparing your witness, preparing and assembling exhibits, tips for presenting evidence to the Judge, stipulations and much more!

September 13
Evidence 101: Is it in or is it out?—You’ve obtained information relevant to your case, now it’s time to determine whether or not it can be offered as evidence.

November 8
Preparing to Finalize Your Divorce—This seminar will provide helpful tips on preparing the various documents that are needed to finalize your divorce case, including proposed settlement agreements, decrees and findings of fact and conclusions of law.
