Tips to Avoid or Prevent Bankruptcy Issues in Family Law Cases
Continuing Legal Education
July 16, 2014 Wednesday 4:00pm - 5:00pm
The financial ramifications and ruin that can result from a divorce or other family law case can often lead a party to seriously consider filing a bankruptcy. As a result, it is important for the family law practitioner to know some bankruptcy basics, including how obligations arising as a result of a family law case are affected by, and can affect, a bankruptcy.
This presentation will provide you with some basic information about the bankruptcy process, how it intersects with your family law case and how to prepare for the possibility that a bankruptcy will be filed once the family law case is finalized.
