To avoid any appearance of impropriety associated with campaign contributions from lawyers, Attorneys for an Independent Bench Political Action Committee ("AIB") severs the direct connection between attorneys and candidates for the Marion Circuit and Superior Court by accepting and then distributing contributions among all certified judicial candidates. The primary purpose of AIB is to provide IndyBar members with an alternate method of supporting local judicial campaigns.

AIB receives contributions from individuals wishing to support judicial candidates without regard to political affiliation and without direction as to disbursement from contributors. All contributions received, less minimal administrative costs, will distribute equally among all judicial candidates during any calendar year in which a judicial election is held Distribution from AIB shall be made after the certified candidate list is released by the Election Division of the Indiana Secretary of State but no later than 30 days prior to the general election.
