Attorney Access Cards

Attorney ID Cards which will permit attorney access to the City-County Building without needing to pass through the metal detectors may now be obtained through the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Court Administrator’s Office. Submit an application along with a request for the Card on your professional letterhead. After receiving your information, the Court Administrator’s Office will contact you to schedule your photo, card processing and payment.

Due to the overwhelming response to the new attorney identification card, the Court Administrator's office has scheduled regular weekly photo sessions for attorneys who have submitted applications. The photo sessions are being held each Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Marion County Probation Office, 6th Floor, Center Tower, City-County Building. Upon getting the photo taken, cards may be picked up the following Monday afternoon.

The card cost is $10.00.

Applications and a copy of the policy can be picked up at the Indianapolis Bar Association, 107 N. Pennsylvania St., Suite 200, or download it online at www.indybar.org (Click Attorney Access Cards at left) or at www.indygov.org. The Application must be completed and returned (along with the request on letterhead) to the Court Administrator’s office for review and approval. Mail to: Court Administrator, Marion County Superior Court, 200 E. Washington St., #1221, Indianapolis, IN 46204.

Special thanks to Superior Court Presiding Judge Cale Bradford and the Court’s Executive Committee; Circuit Court Judge Ted Sosin; and IBA Task Force Chairman John Kautzman.

Please call the Indianapolis Bar Association at 269-2000 or the Court Administrator’s Office at 327-4747 with any questions.
