Deadlines and Fees
Application must be postmarked by November 15 for the February exam and by April 1 for the July exam. Applications are available October 1 for the February exam and February 1 for the July exam. Exam fee: $250. Late filing (with additional $250 fee) allowed for 15 days past deadlines.
Format
The Indiana Bar Exam is a two-day exam held in Indianapolis. Day 1: Two 90-minute Multistate Performance Test (MPT) questions and a four-hour Indiana essay exam consisting of six questions. Day 2: Multistate Bar Exam (MBE), a six-hour 200 question, multiple-choice exam.
Grades and Results
The MPT, IE, and MBE will be weighted: MPT 20%, IE 30%, MBE 50%. The passing score will be a combined scaled score; 264 is required for passing. Normally, results are released 75 days after the exam.
